It is very common for companies to use car signs to advertise their activities. It is increasingly common for private individuals to include personalised or amusing signs on their car.
Customised car signs can convey everything from advertising and information to humour for other road users. Most commonly, these signs are attached using suction cups to the inside of the windows. You can also order vinyl signs that can be affixed to the outside of the car, or the inside or outside of the windscreen.
Create customised car signs
Removing or changing the registration plates to a car is not legal. However, it is perfectly legal to add personal car signs to your car, on both the inside and outside.
Advertising on cars
Marketing your company using your car is both effective and cheap. One option is to choose plastic signs with suction cups, but the best and clearest impact is achieved when the vinyl text is applied directly to the body. The advantage of vinyl text is that it is an easy, affordable and flexible way to advertise, with advantages compared to painting a car.
If you are acquiring car signs for advertising, you should consider using relatively large text, so that both the company name and nature of the business and contact information is clear.
Amusing car signs
These are car signs with a humorous message. Often these are in the rear window. Examples of text include “If you can read this, you are too close” or the more subtle “Sorry for driving so close in front of you”.
For sale
A simple way to sell your car is to place a sign in the rear window with the text “For sale” and a price, telephone number and possibly an e-mail address.
