Product description

A practice sign is an entrance sign for a healthcare clinic or practice. It can be positioned on the outer door to the practice or on doors to different departments within the practice. Practice signage makes it easy for everyone to find their way and also creates clarity so visitors or patients know who they are going to meet and talk to.

What all practice signs have in common is that they clearly indicate to visitors and patients the location of the practice and who works there. It is an informative sign, although the text content on the signs may differ slightly.

Practice signs – Different text

Depending on how the practice is structured, practice signs can be designed differently depending on the message they convey.

Entrance

It is good to provide as clear information as possible at the entrance. These signs usually feature the practice name, opening hours and phone numbers. If only a small number of people work there, their names and professional role may be included. Including the website address is also a good idea. This helps people obtain more information if the practice happens to be closed when they call.

Department signs

Larger practices often have a number of different professions working together. In that case, it is important that the departments are clearly labelled. In addition, signs showing who works where should also contain names and professional titles.

Interior doors/Names

If the practice only houses psychologists, it is sufficient to have the name of each psychologist on the rooms or departments where they treat patients.
