Information on Forklift signs

Forklifts are a notoriously dangerous piece of equipment, as they are known to topple over easily, especially if handled carelessly or with little or no expertise. A forklift can topple over if overloaded, or if the forks are kept too high or the visibility of the operator is obstructed or the weight of the load is not balanced. One in four fatalities at the workplace is known to be caused by toppling forklifts which weigh, on average, double the weight of a standard vehicle. Nonetheless, forklifts are a vital piece of equipment to most establishments and workplaces, since they are compact, relatively easy to use once learned and assist a great deal in carrying heavy loads or light but bulky loads and stacking them away into the desired area.

For this reason, Signomatic have created a whole range of forklift signs for your needs. These could be floor signs or wall mounted signs in prominent places such as loading/unloading bays, stacking areas and all sorts of areas in between. Forklift floor signs are great at informing staff and visitors to keep the pathway clear of traffic as well as free from clutter. A well-lit area is one key thing required for use of forklifts as this allows a clearer vision for the operator.
